| 1. What is Laser Mission? |
Laser Mission is a company that runs a revolutionary new outdoor, team-based combat game commonly called 'Laser Combat'. Laser Combat is a lso known as 'electronic paintball' and similar in concept to paintball games. Our missions are more advanced and sophisticated than typical paintball games; they are linked, to reveal an overall story or theme, and require planning, problem-solving and information assimilation. Players also get the opportunity to use a variety of weapons.
Our missions are designed to encourage working together as a team, develop leadership skills, and stimulate effective communication. Teams are assigned a series of logistical, information gathering, problem-solving and/or hazard-neutralising missions which may have FBI, spy, extra terrestrial or 'mad scientist' themes, as well as military-style scenarios. All missions and scenarios are played in either woodlands or urban settings, for example hotel grounds, a former underground nuclear bunker, scout camps, or purpose-built corporate training centres.
Depending on your package we may also offer an extended range of equipment such as sniper's rifles, night vision goggles, gas masks and walkie-talkies, depending on your missions. Our weapons vary in size, weight, ammo allowance and shooting range.
Players shoot an invisible and harmless infrared beam similar to the one used in your TV remote control. The highly intelligent software in our weapons will ensure no cheating takes place! The sound effects are extremely realistic so you know when you have been shot or dying.

| 2. Who can play at Laser Mission? |
Anyone aged 11+, male or female. Fitness levels are not a major issue as everyone can play to a level that they find comfortable. This means it is just as ideal for family outings as well as adult only parties. We have different sized weapons to choose from so we match you up accordingly. Laser combat simulations are great fun for beginners right through to regular advanced players.

| 3. How do the guns work? |
The game system has been built around a safe, robust and reliable high-tech infrared combat system with weapons which include those modelled on the Pulse Rifle from the film 'Aliens'. The larger rifles have an integrated grenade launcher/ scatter gun round. The guns are based on infrared technology - there are no lasers in fact and we have safety reports to reassure you that they are harmless. The player must line up their red dot scope or crosshair sight with the sensor on the opponent's weapon or helmet. There is no chest pack like those used in indoor lasertag.
The guns have a range of between 70m - 170m depending on your weapon! There is a choice of realistic digitised sounds and multiple modes of fire - this is technology with attitude!
We have a selection of guns for use. The guns we use include: Spit Fires, Scorpions, Commando Carbines, M4s, Pulse rifles and Morita Sniper Rifle. We also have Claymore Mines for ambushing your enemy with - and you'll love their sound effects! For specs on these guns, please visit our Weapons section.

| 4. What happens when I get there? |
You will be greeted by our very professional team, and issued with camouflage gear, ponchos (in case it rains), water bottles, camouflage cream (war paint) and your guns! After an Equipment & Safety Briefing, your Mission Leader will go through the various scenarios and games you will play.
During your sessions, you will play several different games and scenarios. For some of the more exclusive packages, teams will be issued with other high tech gadgets and equipment such as hand-held radios, gas masks and night-vision equipment. We don't just shoot each other, we problem-solve too.
In cold weather we have heaters at the briefing tent to warm you up in between missions.

5. What do I wear underneath my camouflage gear and what else do I bring with me?
|
We recommend that you wear loose fitting clothing such as tracksuit bottoms and a t-shirt. We insist players do not roll up trouser legs and sleeves as they can get stung, splinters, cuts etc. We have no objection to you wearing your own camouflage gear if you prefer, but we promise that ours will be clean! You may wish to bring sun-cream in warm weather. Laser Missions can be very hot and sweaty because the adrenalin really gets going. You will find bringing several thin layers rather than one thick jumper more practical. You might get chilly later on as you calm down! Remember to bring gloves with you in the cooler months.
Please bring hiking boots or very sturdy footwear. (Trainers can be dangerous and slippy in the mud.) We do sell sniper boots at very reasonable rates (approx. £30 depending on style and stock availability). Let us know if you want to order a pair and we'll have them waiting for you. We have some adult sizes for hire too.
Showers are not always available, so we do advise you to bring a clean change of clothing for after the event.
You may wish to bring some money with you as we sell chocolates, crisps, etc. in our surplus store. We also sell combat t-shirts, etc. Laser Mission London will not be responsible for any loss, theft or accident to players or their property.
.and don't forget your camera, as you really will look the part!

|
| 6. What happens if it is raining? |
We play in all types of weather (sun, snow, rain or hail); however we do recommend that you bring a change of clothing with you. We do supply you with army-issue camouflage ponchos - if you also wish to bring waterproof trousers you can. We will stop play if there is an electric storm for safety reasons.
|
|
|
| 7. Do you get bruised? |
No not at all! There are no projectiles, no paintballs nothing, just a harmless infrared beam coming out of your gun. The only thing that gets hurts is your pride if you lose! We will cover all the safety issues with you at the safety briefing . and you will be listening now, won't you?!
|
|
|
| 8. Are there any hidden costs with Laser Mission i.e. extra ammo? |
No! Your marshal will load up your gun with enough lives to get you through your game - these lives should last you a whole game - if you are clever enough not to get shot that is! That's another reason for choosing Laser Mission London because it is far more flexible than paintball. You really have to plan your attack very effectively to make sure you last the duration of the game. With some games we will re-spawn you (bring you back to life) so you can continue with the fun. We will just deduct this from the team's score . at no extra cost, of course.

We can tailor our missions so that every member of the team is involved. We can run multi-activity events for larger groups so that groups can rotate.
